Dr. Soo Hee Lim

Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science (Honours)
Graduate Diploma of Dentistry
Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics

Dr. Soo Hee Lim’s path into prosthodontics has been shaped by a strong academic foundation, a thoughtful approach to patient care, and a genuine interest in the impact restorative treatment can have on people’s lives. After completing her dental degree in Queensland, where she was recognised for academic excellence, she further pursued her interest in implant dentistry and restorative research through an honours degree in oral health in dental science.

Early in her career, Dr. Lim worked in clinical settings serving aged care and regional communities, where restorative and removable prosthodontic treatment was often central to improving comfort, function, and confidence for patients. She also volunteered at a refugee dental fair in rural Queensland in partnership with Queensland Health, an experience that further reinforced her belief in the importance of accessible, carefully considered restorative care. These formative experiences helped shape her decision to pursue specialist training in prosthodontics at the University of Queensland.

Dr. Lim brings a calm, meticulous, and patient-centred approach to clinical practice. She has a particular interest in case-based treatment planning and values the opportunity to work closely with patients and referring dentists to develop treatment pathways that are practical and tailored to long-term needs.

Alongside her clinical practice, Dr. Lim is also engaged in professional education through the Centre for Prosthodontics Study Clubs, guiding clinicians in treatment planning, clinical reasoning, and decision-making in implantology.
