FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When should a patient be referred to a prosthodontist?

Prosthodontists specialise in complex dental treatments. Typically a patient is referred to a Prosthodontist because the treatment required is outside the referrers skillset, or they don’t have the time required to adequately address the problem themselves.

What specialist skills does a prosthodontist have?

Prosthodontists have completed a minimum 3 additional years of formal education, after completion of a dental degree. These years of training cover advanced dental techniques and treatments and equip the Prosthodontists with the skills to solve challenging and complex dental problems.

How do I refer?

A referral can be made through our website at this page, or by calling (08)9368 0888. Patients can contact us directly without a referral, however we typically direct all enquiries back to the client’s dentist to ensure continuity of care.

What communication should I expect after referral?

We will confirm with you that your referral has been received, and then inform you of when the initial appointment will be completed. Our team will then share the suggested treatment plan with you before undertaking any work so you are fully aware of the scope of works your patient will be receiving.

How much will my treatment cost?

Until we have a full plan in place we unfortunately cannot give cost estimates, as all our work is completed bespoke for each patient. However, all costs associated with your treatment are provided in detail before any work begins.
