Dr Adam Hamilton is an Australian board-certified prosthodontist who graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours and has a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in the specialty of prosthodontics from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Aside from academic and clinical development, Dr Hamilton has presented several topics including implant retained prostheses at local, national and international levels. His research into the fit of CADCAM implant abutments compared to prefabricated abutments on various implant systems has gained much acclaim on an international scale.

He joined Perth Prosthodontics in 2013 with the vision to offer the highest quality and technologically advanced prosthodontic treatment for the needs of Perth community. To further his knowledge in the restorative and surgical aspects of implant dentistry through an ITI scholarship and fellowship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Florida Center for Implant Dentistry. Upon its completion, he was offered a full time academic position in the Department of restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

We are sad to see a great colleague and friend leave, but we wish him all the best in his career endeavours until our paths may cross again. His new special interest is in dento-facial esthetics and implant rehabilitation of the edentulous patient. He is involved in research related to implant prosthodontics, bone regeneration and aesthetic challenges with dental implants. Dr. Hamilton’s clinical interests and expertise is in the rehabilitation of edentulous patients with dental implants, implant replacement of anterior teeth and obtaining ideal esthetic outcomes with dental ceramics.

Currently, he is actively engaged in further clinical research in the field of implant dentistry as a primary investigator and research mentor for the advanced graduate implant dentistry residents.

Dr Hamilton also maintains an active practice focusing on comprehensive oral rehabilitation with conventional prosthodontic and implant treatment within the Harvard Dental Center at HSDM. He is a Fellow by examination of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
