Join us on April 22, 2026 for an exclusive ITI event exploring the topic “Taking the Digital Bite: Predictable Virtual Occlusion from Dentate to Edentulous Patients.” This session will focus on the accuracy and predictability of digital interocclusal records across a range of clinical scenarios, from fully dentate cases through to partially dentate and edentulous patients.
While digital bite registration can be highly accurate when stable anatomical references are present, it can also produce misleading results when such references are limited or absent. This session will provide a practical, chairside framework to help clinicians improve reliability by selecting repeatable capture strategies, recognising early warning signs of inaccurate registrations, and understanding when to introduce auxiliary references to enhance stability.
Through different clinical scenarios, the discussion will shift the focus from “digital versus conventional” workflows to a more clinically relevant approach: identifying available stable references and using them effectively to control jaw position and registration. Attendees will gain a structured decision-making framework to determine when a digital bite can be trusted, when it should be reinforced, and when verification is essential before proceeding to definitive prosthetic treatment.
