Join us for an upcoming ITI Study Club evening with guest speaker Dr Hossam El-Haddad, alongside Dr Armand Putra, exploring the integration of implants with removable partial dentures in complex patient scenarios.

Treatment planning in partially dentate patients often involves far more than replacing missing teeth alone. Questions around biomechanics, support, maintenance, patient expectations, and long-term restorative outcomes can make decision-making significantly more complex — particularly in cases where fixed treatment may not always be the most appropriate solution.

Through case-based discussion and practical clinical insight, this session will explore how implants and removable prosthodontics can be combined thoughtfully to improve function, stability, and long-term predictability in selected patients.

Dr Hossam El-Haddad is a prosthodontist currently practicing across specialist clinics in Moonee Ponds and Melbourne CBD. He completed his Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne and remains actively involved in academia as a lecturer and clinical supervisor within the dental school, where he also coordinates the implant component of the DDS program.

In partnership with Melbourne University and the International Team for Implantology (ITI), he contributes extensively to continuing professional development programs for general practitioners on prosthodontic and implant-related topics.

What to expect:
• Case-based discussions focused on partially dentate patients
• Practical considerations around biomechanics, maintenance, and treatment sequencing
• Discussion around case selection and long-term restorative outcomes
• A collaborative environment for open discussion and shared clinical insight
