Are Complete Dentures still relevant in a world ruled by Dental Implants?Although dental implant treatment options for edentulous patients are plenty, research has shown that less than 20% of patients received implant treatment of edentulous mandibles. Major reasons for patient declining implant treatment were the financial costs, the need for surgery, and phobia of pain. |
Conventional complete dentures continue being one of the most common and traditional prosthodontic treatment options for edentulous patients. For patients who cannot or will not accept implants treatment, properly designed, and executed removable dentures can be the treatment of choice for many patients. As a result, it is important for a clinician to be familiar with all the treatment alternatives and educate patients on its advantages, disadvantages. |
This seminar is ideal for those who are looking to improve clinical success in treating complete dentures patients. Dr Hezel Cohen will highlight the knowledge and skills you need to assess, treatment plan and treat patients requiring complete dentures. CPD: 2.5 hours Cost: $168.00 incl. GST (or $150 before 30th June). |

Treatment planning is a process that ties all the loose ends from consultation and diagnostic process, leading to the creation of a “roadmap” that aims for a rewarding result. Besides the knowledge of various prosthodontic techniques driven by aesthetic and functional needs, a dentist must follow a comprehensive and structured step by step approach to create treatment plans that offer predictable solutions to their patients. |
