Dental Nurse | Certificate IV in Dental Nursing
The Australian Defence Force in Victoria awarded Belinda with a certificate in dental nursing. From 1999, Belinda began her rewarding career as a dental nurse. She started nursing at the Australian Royal Army in Townsville. In 2004, Belinda and her husband decided to settle in Western Australia where she worked in general dentistry until 2007.
Alongside her interest in dental, Belinda is also has a passion for food and complete a course to be a chef. She left the dental industry to open the restaurant ‘Scusi’ in Mandurah and continued to grow her business until 2012 when she sold her business to have her first child.
After starting a family, Belinda studied to be a registered nurse for 2 years as she was still drawn to health and patient care. Although there are similarities between registered nurses and dental nurses, Belinda found that she was more interest in dental nursing and returned to dental nursing in a general practice. After 7 years, Belinda was ready for a new challenge, and joined our team at the Centre for Prosthodontics at the beginning of 2021.
When she is not caring for patients, Belinda explores the Western Australian coastline with her family. In addition to travelling, Belinda often bakes, cooks, and likes to make candle in her free time.
