The concept of the All on 4 treatment has been around for 40 years. It is a fixed implant bridge that offers permanent prosthetic teeth. Surgical placement of dental implants for an All on 4 treatment is best done by a specialist to improve success and reduce risk.
Typically, the All on 4 treatment occurs over 3 appointments:
The AuDentes® implant bridge is a new innovation that is similar to All on 4. Compared to All on 4, the AuDentes® concept is executed only in a hospital setting which simplifies the treatment with fewer appointments, less pain and shorter recovery time. In AuDentes®, the All on 4 treatment is fast tracked to one hospital visit under general anaesthetic. A specialised team consisting of specialist surgeon, specialist prosthodontist, specialist anaesthetist and specialist technician will work on the patient who will walk out of the hospital with new dental implants – bypassing the temporary and healing stage in the All on 4 treatment process.
Not everyone is a suitable candidate for All on 4 or AuDentes®. Our clinicians will have to perform a full dento-facial profile to determine if these treatments are suitable.
Some of the factors that impact on suitability include:
• Quality and volume of gum and bone tissues
• Relationship between the jaw and lip line during rest and smile positions
• Ability to control factors that led to tooth loss
• Stability of underlying medical conditions
These are just some of the factors that are best assessed by a specialist team to reduce the risk of a complete loss of your investment. More information about the All on 4 treatment can be found here.
Our clinicians at Centre for Prosthodontics have undertaken formal advanced postgraduate training and have an in-depth understanding on the art, science and theory behind All on 4 treatment. The portfolio below are examples of the cases that our clinicians have undertaken.
